Approved Medical Taxi.

David Taxi Tarascon provides medical transportation and light medical repatriation services. These services are for seated patient transport, as defined in Article R. 322-10-1 of the French Social Security Code.

Situations covered by Health Insurance:

Transport costs are covered by Health Insurance, upon medical prescription, in the following situations:

• Transportation related to hospitalization (admission and/or discharge from hospital), regardless of the length of hospitalization (full, partial, or outpatient).

• Transport related to treatments or examinations for patients recognized as having an ALD (long-term condition)

• Transport related to treatments or examinations related to an accident at work or an occupational disease.

• Transport related to a summons from the medical service of the Health Insurance, the regional disability commission, a medical expert (for a medical assessment by Social Security) or for an appointment with a supplier of approved devices for the supply of devices (ocular and facial prostheses, foot orthoses, ortho-prostheses), in this case the summons serves as a medical prescription.

Outside of these situations, transport is not covered by Health Insurance.

Support within the framework of an ALD

To cover transport costs, patients with a long-term illness must meet the following cumulative conditions:

• He must be recognized as suffering from an ALD

• The transport carried out must be linked to the ALD

Payment :

In all the cases mentioned above, there is no advance fee to pay to the taxi driver.
Your health insurance fund and your supplementary health insurance cover the cost of medical transport.
